Between July 22/11 and October 10/11
(Thanksgiving), we polished up our sneakers and stepped out to cover
the roughly 7300 kilometers between Vancouver and St. John.
Newfoundland. We are indebted
to the very good folks at Pharmasave in Parksville, who donated
pedometers to our cause.
Well, we didn't
quite reach St. John's, but we did get all the way to Amherst, Nova
Scotia - that's 5863 km (virtually) - in spite of glaring heat and
all that holiday traffic!!
We doff
our (virtual) chapeaux in gratitude to all our walkers and to all
those who sponsored a walker. We raised $1,000 to benefit our
recreation/healthy living programs.
