FH Instructors
Vocational (In-House Activities)
Computer Lab: Literacy classes are available to all members. Among other activities, we examine resumes and creative writing.
Barter Store: Our household tasks are compensated with Barter Dollars that are used to trade for food and clothing.
Greenhouse: Our Greenhouse is organized as a community garden. We grow vegetables and herbs.
Sunshine Cafe: This is a home-cooked meals program for our clients that are temporarily shut in.
Crafts: We encourage and promote our clients to take on leadership roles in the teaching of art and craft activities for other clients.

Karaoke: Promotes confidence, relaxation, and of course, is just plain fun.
Psycho-Educational (In-House Activites)
At Forward House, we are always looking for new ways to help our member clients express themselves and tell their personal stories. To that end, we have produced several books, resouce guides, films, radio spots (on Local FM Radio channel 99.9, The Beach), public service announcements, and brochures. Psycho-Social (In-House Activities)
Our HUG (House Unity Group) meets weekly to discuss issues and plan projects.

Psychosocial (Community Activities)
- Recreation - We include music, games, community outings, swimming, yoga, special events, and even softball.
- Clinical Liason with Physicians, the Mental Health Centre, and the Hospital. Included are 'close-watch' of at-risk clients, clinical note-taking, and interactive personal goal planners with each client. Also included are advocacy with community agencies.
- Affiliation with BCSS, District 69 Housing Society, MUC Collaborative Nursing Committee, Parnership Advisory Team, CVIMHAC, and OVA.
- Participation in annual Health Fair, Women's Health Fair, fundraising events, AGM, Partners Evaluation meetings, partner's BBQ, IAPSRS, vision retreats, the Dragonfly Awards Dinner, and more.
Community-Based Activities
Lawn Crew: We offer community service to community members. To enquire about having your lawn cared for, contact Gerard Klomp at info@forwardhouse.com.
Public Relations and Media Events: We offer to develop and prepare radio, TV, and education promos. We can also assist you with the development of workplace seminars. These events are designed to keep our community profile strong, with the focus of our activities on wellness.
