Members provide on-going encouragement and support for each other in meeting daily challenges. Mutual respect is the cornerstone of our being.

Forward House puts out a quarterly publication with contributions from members.  Newsletter work is intended to enhance a feeling of ownership in the program as well as to enlighten community members about our programs and services.

Barter Store

In-house barter store for Forward House Community Members.  Open: Monday, Wednesday, Saturday.

Our membership is able to earn  barter script to use in the store.  Members can ‘purchase’ clothing and food items, while saving cash for other daily living needs.

Arts

We believe that art is meant to be enjoyable. We explore various media to awaken the senses and sew, paint and sculpt to create the masterpieces that speak of who we are. We also make items to sell to raise funds for materials to keep creating. So, we make beanie bags and peanut pillows, greetings cards, puppets and more!

Art Therapy

Offered by our art therapist every Friday evening.  Safe, comfortable, available to all members.
