Forward House Fridays in Qualicum Beach
We are happy to announce that Forward House now has a satellite location at Qualicum Commons (744 Primrose Street, Qualicum Beach). Our Outreach Worker, Doreen 'Coco' Littlejohn and her team of volunteers will be visiting businesses, churches, and other service agencies to ensure we meet the needs of the community in Qualicum Beach. Our pilot project will run every Friday from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm in room 8 of Qualicum Commons. We enjoy sharing the office with the Division of Family Practice.
A special thanks to the Town of Qualicum Beach, School District 69, the United Way, and Parks West Business Products for their support of this outreach initiative. If this pilot project is successful, we will consider expanding our hours in the future.

Moving Forward with Accessibility Project - Phase 2
It's done! We have a brand new, fully accessible bathroom. Thanks to the Regional District of Nanaimo for their support through a Grant-in-Aid, and to all four local Rotary clubs for their generous support. For more information and pictures of the renovation and completed project, click here.
Our Community Rose to the Mental Health Week Challenges!
From May 7th to 11th, Forward House challenged our supporters and community members to perform daily challenges: reaching out to someone who may be lonely, doing a random act of kindness, telling 3 people about Forward House, listing 4 things they are grateful for, and making a donation to Forward House. Congratulations to the winner of our draw, KIM LONGMUIR, who participated in all five challenges and is the lucky winner of a $50 gift card donated by Realm Food Co.
